Kelompok Rick berhasil selamat dari CDC, namun mereka semakin kehilangan orang. Rick dan kelompoknya memutuskan akan pergi ke Ford Benning. Saat diperjalanan RV milik Dale mogok karena terlalu panas, dia hanya membutuhkan sedikit air, mereka terjebak di blokade mobil, banyak mobil-mobil dijalanan, mereka juga membutuhkan bahan bakar, jadi mereka memutuskan mencari bahan bakar, persediaan dan lain sebagainya untuk kebutuhan sembari menunggu melanjutkan perjalanan. Tapi disaat mereka terpencar, tidak lama kemudian, para walker berdatangan, mereka masih sempat untuk bersembunyi, Dale yang memantau dari atas RV tetap bersembunyi disana, sedangkan yang lainya bersembunyi dibawah-bawah mobil.
Para walker ini hanya lewat saja, mereka tidak menyadari kelompok Rick, disaat keadaan dirasa sudah aman, Sophia anak gadis kecil Carol mencoba keluar dari bawah mobil, namun ternyata masih ada dua walker, dia sangat ketakutan karena sendirian disana, yang lain tidak dapat keluar begitu saja, Sophia pun keluar dari bawah mobil dari sisi satu nya dan berlari ke hutan. Rick mencoba mengejar dan dia berhasil mendapatkan Sophia, namun Rick harus menyingkirkan dua walker tersebut, Rick menyuruh gadis kecil ini untuk bersembunyi, namun Sophia keluar dari persembunyian setelah Rick pergi untuk memancing Walker, Sophia benar-benar menghilang, mereka terus mencoba mencari dan berkemah disana beberapa hari untuk terus mencari Sophia.
