Sinopsis

Berlatarbelakang selama Dinasti Joseon, The Slave Hunters berkisah mengenai kehidupan Lee Dae-gil, Song Tae-ha, dan Kim Hye-won.

Lee Dae-gil adalah seorang pria dari keluarga bangsawan, yang hidupnya hancur oleh Keun-nom (큰놈이/Big One), seorang budak yang dimiliki oleh keluarga Dae-gil. Karena adik Keun-nom, Un-nyun dan tuan muda Dae-gil sedang jatuh cinta, orang tua Dae-gil yang mengunci Un-nyun di gudang dan meninggalkan dia untuk mati dehidrasi. Kemudian Keun-nom membakar habis rumah Dae-gil sambil menyelamatkan dia, kemudian menggunakan sabit untuk menghancurkan wajah Dae-gil. Rumah runtuh tak lama setelah itu, dan Keun-nom dan Un-nyun percaya Dae-gil telah meninggal.
